Seatti @Lofer: Our team aims high!

As in the first half of the year, our team completed another offsite in the past week. Why do we do that? Well, all of our colleagues are spread across Europe and apart from smaller team meetings on site, we rarely see each other. As a result, there were plenty of workshops and team building activities to keep the team growing together. And this time we went to beautiful Lofer near Salzburg!

The mountains are calling!

After our last big outing was 6 months ago, it was time to meet again in a big group. And after we last time in Visselhövede were able to enjoy nature, this company retreat became even more idyllic. Because we drove to the Austrian Alps. More specifically, to the small village called Lofer! Here we were called Steinerwirt Welcome to the center of the village! And what can we say, the location couldn't have been better for an outing like ours! The idyllic landscape of the Alps awaited us every morning, the Steinerwirt team was super accommodating and there were many opportunities where our entire team could split up and work in peace. Because Seatti has grown in recent months and now needs a bit more space for workshops, etc.

Speaking of workshops...

A Seatti outing wouldn't be an outing if there were no workshops! For this reason, there were department-specific and company-wide training courses throughout the day to not only further develop our product, but also our hybrid corporate culture to strengthen. Because one of the main reasons why we meet with the assembled team twice a year is to team cohesion to strengthen and promote social exchange across departments. Because a challenge hybrid work is to keep social interaction and corporate culture alive.

With small team buildings such as a virtual pub or music quiz, we try to bring the team together between our outings. Our latest outings in Schliersee or Madrid However, they have shown us how important local exchange is. As a result, in addition to all workshops, many team building measures and onboardings were on the agenda.

What moves the Seatti team?

As we've grown significantly this year, it's becoming increasingly important to understand our team members better. Because each of us is unique, has our own working methods and needs a different environment to be able to work efficiently. That is exactly why there was a Moving Motivators Workshop, in which each of our team emphasized their very individual motivations, which are motivating at work or in private.

And we can pass this on to you as an important lesson! This workshop showed many of us what makes colleagues tick and how they structure themselves in everyday working life. Dara

  • What moves everyone: Being aware of what the respective motivational reasons are is essential for every team member.
  • Mutual exchange: You become aware of how your own motivation influences how you interact in a team. It reflects the behavior of each individual and shows how the working methods in individual teams are structured.
  • Similarities vs. differences: During the workshop, you as a team will find out that you certainly have many intersections, but also a lot of differences. Working out the respective motivational reasons in the team will help you build better team dynamics.

All in all, this was a very successful workshop that many of us will remember. We will definitely work to integrate these individual factors into our everyday work and thus continue to grow as a team.

Hiking is Seatti's pleasure

And if we live just before the Alps, then a good hike should not be missed! That's why, after a first meeting in the morning, we climbed up to a small alpine pasture to eat an Austrian specialty for lunch. However, before we were invited to the table, we had a 1-hour hike ahead of us. Fun fact: We got lost and instead of coming to the alpine pasture from below, we approached from above. Let's say that we did a bit more sports like this.

As a reward, there was the so-called “Tartar Hat”. A type of fondue hat made of iron, from which spikes out and meat is skewered, which is pulled through a type of cheese soup. Sounds funny, but it looks funny! And it was delicious too.

Seatti Olympics

In keeping with the old Seatti tradition, there was of course a bit of brain training in addition to the hike. This time it wasn't just about general knowledge, but how well we know our colleagues and how we perform as a team. Our team organized a quiz with fun facts about colleagues, a kind of charade, skill games and a cocktail competition. The Seatti Olympics were on.

Goodbye Austria

After 6 months and numerous internal milestones, it was all the better to see each other again in one place instead of just virtually. The brainstorming, the joint workshops and, above all, the team building measures have once again brought us together and made us stronger as a team! And we've also become real lofer-lovers! The location was perfect to make the entire team happy. Our team will therefore definitely be back again! Until next time Austria 👋
