Anyone who would have thought before the pandemic that the majority of workers would work from home or in a changing model would probably have cut themselves. Corona has massively accelerated this development and is leading to a change in the world of work. Many jobs that used to take place exclusively in the office have been based on a lot of home office and a changing model in recent years. Many employees have become accustomed to this flexible model and even like it after a long period of familiarization.
Now that corona is slowly no longer a major issue, the future of the working world is being decided. The trend couldn't be more different: Some companies want to return to the office, others leave employees completely free and others are trying to introduce a changing model. Many companies are unsure which path they want to take. What stands out is that finding the right model for your own company is not that easy. And the difference in choosing the future way of working shows a massive contrast between employees and managers. But is it easy to turn back time? Hasn't remote working now become the norm? Or is this working model perhaps even a decisive factor for future generations? What will the working world of tomorrow look like?
There is no uniform answer to these questions. But in this white paper, we'd like to try to list some factors, motivations, and different perspectives to make the decision easier. A number of studies and opinions were used to paint a diverse picture. But one thing is clear: The world of work has changed. The extent to which every company accepts this change is an individual question. Here are some food for thought and suggestions!
